Hello readers,
July, july, july… Where DID it go? We’ve been having heatwaves over in the UK so I know I spent a lot of time just melting both with body and mind. It’s been so hot to do anything. I can’t tell you what else really happened, because it’s some kind of heat induced blur. I can, however, show some pretty pictures of Phoebe for this month, being silly as she just climbed into a plant pot and lay down??

Writing
After trying to reconstruct my melted brain (many times) and get the gears running again, I managed to start writing something new. This will only be a short story, but this time I am tackling a sub genre I don’t usually go near: cosy. The good thing is, I am using a character that came to me in a dream many years ago and have always wanted to write about. I’ll be posting snippets over on my social media!

Good news! Tales of Yamato can now be bought at Roaming Reads Bookshop, both online and their events. They are a wonderful shop who are working towards building a bookshop in a horsebox, so they can take it around and promote many authors. Right now you can get 10% any book with the code indie2026 (although it’s UK only atm)
It’s exciting to see my book in a shop for the first time, and I’d love for it to find more homes too.
Author Event
Apparently this year gave me the event bug, and I have been signing up for more events for next year. I don’t plan on doing any more for this year, but next year I have lined up (so far)
25th April at Rugeley Comic Con
8th May in Bristol at Ashton Gate Stadium
5th June in Birmingham, Pride Book Bonanza
I will be giving out many more details closer to the time, but here’s a heads up for next Spring/Summer.

Favourite things I read/watched/listened to recently
Today’s favourite thing is actually a game. I’ve been binging Cat Mail Co, a cosy game where you are a postie dealing with incoming mail, weighing it, stamping it, stacking it on the boat to go off. It’s been so much fun, plus it’s multiplayer too. And best of all, it’s cats!
