Hello readers,
2024 seemed to really whizz past and here we are in 2025. This year is going to be an exciting one for my writing and before we know it, Tales of Yamato will be published!
December was a busy month for me again, trying to juggle so many things at once and trying to keep organised too. I even managed to go to a fun alternative christmas market where I came across an unusual shape for a crystal. I love amethysts and I love to fidget, so as soon as I held this I knew I had to buy it. It’s both soft and has fun angles to hold against the skin. 10/10 on the stim scale! Of course, it’s also very pretty to look at too. I keep it on my keyboard to fidget with when I’m thinking during writing.
I don’t have any other photos to show this time as I hermited a lot for December. I have lots of fun things on my desk that I could photograph, however, fandom merch isn’t going to be many of your cups of tea. (I bought myself a huge Genshin Impact plush for christmas)
Other than finishing off editing Tales of Yamato, my December was mostly filled with admin work and taking a nice break from things as I burnt myself out (oops).
On Ream
While Tales of Yamato is both being prepped for publishing (book 1) and on hiatus (book 2) I am still posting Unbound by the Sea up on Ream. It’s still nice having a break from Japan and being able to go where my mind takes me for this.
For Chapter 12 we get to talk to Kyung some more, and see Yuna potentially get herself into more trouble. (Kyung is my favourite so I don’t mind more of him!)

Tales of Yamato
Before Christmas, I managed to finish off all the editing for Tales of Yamato! It took a lot longer than I expected, although this is a huge learning experience for me so in future I’ll mentally give myself longer to sort editing. It’s good to know it’s on the next stage of development and it really won’t be much longer until it’s out. Because of my health conditions, I didn’t want to set a release date until I had the editing done, in case something flared up. However, this also means release is very close! Now I am back from my break, I will be releasing both the release date and a call for ARC readers within the next few weeks (if not sooner). So please stay tuned! I’ll send out a special email just for the ARC call so nobody misses it.
