Hello readers,
As always, February just whizzed past after a really long and dragging January that felt like forever. And there we have it, we’re into March already. Last month was a tough one for me, as not only have I been dealing with a lot of huge life changes, I also was really ill then had to look after my child who got the same bug. So in reality… not much got done. Not the best when I’ve been prepping for my book release.
Speaking of my book release though, take a look at this;
It’s so surreal seeing my book in print, and so many copies of it too! They are all set ready for the 5th of March.
I don’t have any other cool photos to share this time, but I’m hoping now the weather is starting to get better, I’ll find more things to photograph.
On Ream
Over on Ream I have been posting more of Unbound by the Sea, my romantasy set in an Asian inspired land. It’s all the way up to Chapter 14 now, and still going strong. Here we see a new POV, one which might answer some questions…

Tales of Yamato
The release date for this is just in a few days, March the 5th. It’s been such a long journey to get to this point! On the 5th I’ll be spreading the word over on social media (and you’re welcome to join me), I will also be placing the ebook up for sale on my website (this is the best way to support me as other places take a larger cut). Currently you can pre-order both the ebook and physical book over on https://books2read.com/talesofyamato.
I also have the physical copies here with me in the UK. If you’d like a signed version, I can sign one of those copies and post to you. You’ll be charged for the book and the postage costs to your country. To claim one of those copies, please email me over at odessasilverauthor@gmail.com.
By then, I should also have bookmarks ready to go (a sneaky secret I have been keeping! You’re all first to know). I want to do more merch in the future too, such as postcards, however I don’t have any designs in mind at the moment. If there’s anything you’d like to see, please leave a comment.
I’ve been writing Tales of Yamato for over 2 years and finally I can draw a close on this chapter. That doesn’t mean it’s over, not at all. Releasing a book has been tougher than I realised, there is so much to do and handle, and for me it came at a time of great stress and I still feel like I have a thousand things left to do.
I really want to continue writing new tales for Tales of Yamato, and make enough for a second book. For now, I need to take a break (as much as I can) and also try to push my other projects along further. We’ll see how long I can stay away for, who knows, I might return in the next newsletter saying I needed to write more, so here we go again…
Other Projects
With my writing, I like to follow wherever my mind takes me. I find it hard to stay stuck on one thing for too long (unless it’s a hyperfixation like with yokai!). I try not to start too many projects at once as I want to finish the ones I have started, and I know readers want to get to the end too. Currently, I have two projects which I haven’t started, but I potentially want to dip into this year, so if you’re wanting something new from me, you won’t have to wait too long. One project will be a short romantasy novella (featuring fantasy creatures) and another will be a more regular fantasy. We’ll see what happens with them.
