Hello readers,
October whooshed by so fast, how is it November already? It’s been another busy month of editing for me, but I’ve also managed to do some fun things too. In the beginning of October there was a Japanese festival in London that I’d never heard of before. It was so amazing and I enjoyed myself. I was able to finally hear taiko and it is so different to recordings. You can really feel the vibrations in your chest, like thunder in the sky. The performers were so good and energetic.
From one of the stalls I bought Japanese ceramics. One of them was this tanuki mug, because how could I not buy it??
I also picked up this obi for a really good price, and my collected kimono is almost complete. It works so well with the reds of my haori and kimono.
I picked up many more things, but this one is my favourite. Hokusai is my favourite artist and his ukiyo-e are so beautiful. As soon as I saw these for sale I knew I had to have one. And after a little digging I found cats. I love this so much. it’s so special to me.
I also recently watched the 2020 film called Hokusai. I found it very inspiring and touching seeing how artists continued to make what they wanted and were inspired by, despite being against what the government allowed. I certainly recommend watching it if you can.
On Ream
This month comes Chapter 10, where we see Yuna being questioned by Sha-Minae. Haruna is missing, but where could she have gone? Sha-Minae must keep her father’s promises and poor Yuna is trapped in the middle.

Tales of Yamato
Editing on Tales of Yamato is still going quite slow right now. I’m finishing up on the third story which needed a lot of work, but the next few in the sequence shouldn’t need as much. Once I am mostly done with my editing, I will start asking for ARC readers, so if you are interested please keep watching!
I’d love to share more with you all about me and my writing, but I’m not sure what to add! What would you like to see here in my newsletter? Ask away if you have questions, too.
Want to find new authors and/or books to try?
For November it’s Spec-Fic time with Sci-Fi and Fantasy. Come have a look at the many books from indie authors: https://books.bookfunnel.com/novemberfantasyscififreebies/k2f3hlk1or.
