Hello readers,
Another month, another newsletter. I have some good news about my writing to share, but first, what have I been doing? As most months seem to now, April has flown by so fast. Outside of writing I haven’t done too much aside from playing a lot of one of my favourite games (genshin impact).
I did, however, recently go to an alternative market and picked up a very pretty bag. I adore cats and so as soon as I saw it I knew I needed it. At the same market I also got to see some skulls of many animals, including a tanuki skull which I wished I could have bought. Oddly, there were also human skulls too. It was so strange to see and yet somehow even underwhelming.
Now, the weather might actually be getting nicer so I can get out and do more. It feels like eternity since we last had some heat!
For those who are signed up to recieve my articles too, you might have noticed how I haven’t posted any lately. I’ve been feeling burnt out writing them, and my chronic health issues have been flaring up and leaving me exhausted, so I’ve decided to pause them for now. I’ll try and write more when I can, but right now I am not sure when that’ll be.
On Ream
This month I have posted my newest story Fallen Feathers, which picks up where Survival left off. We finally get the answers to what happened to the suzaku after his fight with Ukemochi.
We also get to meet a new face which could be important for the future…

Tales of Yamato
As I spoke about last time, I hoped that my last story for Tales of Yamato would go well and it’d mean my first draft was complete… well, as you can see above, I did it! Which means now it’s moved into the editing stage! Over a years work finally ready to edit and make so much better. Right now I am finding an editor and looking for beta readers to take a look at it while I have a break, and then I’ll be editing it. Look forward to updates on how I am getting along.
I’m still planning on releasing it this year.
So what does this mean for my subscription?
I’ll still be posting my stories each month, with May’s story being at least one chapter of Unbound by the Sea, and I am also going to start plotting a new story too. Once I’ve had a big break from Tales of Yamato, I plan to keep writing stories for it, so it’ll be back again soon.
Want to find new authors and/or books to try?
For May I’m sharing all these fantasy books for free. My latest ebook is in this collection too. Please take a look over on bookfunnel: https://books.bookfunnel.com/fantasticrealms-may/isrx5ugnfa
Thank you for reading this far. Want to chat? Comment on the substack post or even send me an email. I’d love to hear from you.
See you again in the next newsletter.
